This brief review covers four books: The Philosophy of Mathematics, by James Robert Brown; Conversations with a Mathematician, by Gregory Chaitin; Mathematics Elsewhere, by Marcia Ascher; and Algebraic Number Theory and Fermat's Last Theorem, by Ian Stewart and David Tall.
